I am not a full time blogger. I am work as a Sales & Marketing officer in one of the hotels in Port Dickson. My Friends always keep asking me, what i am doing as a sales & marketing officer in hotel? answer call? sales call? out station?..Working in hotel's sales & marketing department is not an easy job as what you may think.

Okay, i will briefly tell you what i am doing every day.

1) Taking lead from call- written down customers' info and what kind of function they will have in our resort

2) Doing quotation -After taken lead, do a quotation based on what kind of function they will have in our resort (normally are day trip, family day & meeting)

3) Guest Inspection- After the client agreed with the prices we given in our quotation, they will do a site inspection in our resort. (We will show them around the resort & rooms)

4) Discussing -Discuss with client for the coming event programmes.

5) Confirmation- Client will send us the confirmation letter to us.

6) Proforma Invoice- After we received the confirmation letter, we will send them a proforma invoice. Then they will bank in 50% deposit. Balance to be settled upon check in.

7) Doing Event Order- Once we received 50% deposit, then we have to prepare EO to each department. Such as Front office, account, kitchen, house keeping, reservation, food & beverage, recreation, artist and AV & engineering department. Each department have to perform their task based on written down in the EO given by sales & marketing department.

The day event, we still have to monitor the function to make sure everything is running smoothly.
